  2. Velacheri, Velacheri-Guindy Road, Near Ford Service Centre, Three Small and deep holes
  3. Luz church road the rangachari cloth shop road

Aug 14th Update: Total Roughly about 60+. All the ones in Velacheri and Mandaveli are taken care of. The one in Sardar Patel road were a bit off limits due to parade security restrictions.

August 15th Morning Update:

The Team - as planned - got together at Velacheri, Vijayanagar bus stop, met the entire team and briefed them. About 15 folks had turned up. The most ideally suited and well known places, with the sizes of potholes were Velacheri and Mandeveli area and one counted about 70+ potholes in Mandaveli. The team split up into two and head towards the two destinations. After a lot of fun, and oodles of hard work later, we are confident that we finished more than 60+ potholes. They are all filled with concrete, so they should stick around longer than tar or a patch work should do.

Its 7:23 am as I write this and the entire team just headed home. Towards the end, there were actually 17 people who were with us. I guess we are a team which grows bigger as time goes by, and not weans out. I hope that stays true for a lot many other things in the future to come.

We'll all probably be getting some shut eyes for a couple of hours and be back around noon to check on updates. By the way, if you guys would like to do this tonight, do add your name to the list and list all the possible potholes you know of... we fixed about 10 potholes in just one stretch of road in Velacheri... I am sure you could think of a few!

Also, Deccan Chronical has run an article on this initiative.

Live mint runs an article titled: Retaking Chennai, one pothole at a time
